i have Vag 12.12 clone cable
with VCDS 12.12 internet protection
i have probably different version of VCDS but stil not working led not working only by connection in to car first red then green then off. coneted to PC led do nothing
i'm not specialist i'm here new en i'm learning
I have read that need to reflash of eprom with dump files or so possibility to update to latest drivers or other VCDS version with working long-coding ?
can me somebody step by step help with this Chinese sh#it
i wil upload some photos but i think some problem on server at the moment
so later coming photos

Its correct. The led will turn on red then green only when you connect to car or power the tool by OBD pins GND (4-5) and +12V (16)
No when you plug it to USB
The tools that make the led turn on when it plugged only in USB that one are sh...ts
If you need to make it works you need a dump for a tool with FTDI RL and a modified software.
The last free version dump and Long Coding working is VCDS 11.11.5 and you can find it in Mr. Fantomel collection

The german dump that I saw it for free was long time ago. I will check my database but is for 10.6 or older

There are newer dumps for free and I'm very sure that it will not be

And my own opinion.
The VCDS is cheap. Even a genuine one it is.
Ok you will say but I'm using it for my own and from time to time
In this case you can buy a HQ clone upgradable and this is 1/3 from genuine price
The softwares you get it from ross-tech too

Well again you will say that its expencive than a chinese one. But if you count how many times you will buy a chinese one because this one will fail after 2 or 3 use and if you count how many times you are using your tool no pay anything for the diagnostic service you will see that the genuine and the HQ clone has a very cheap price and its worh a lot

This is just my opinion. So please do not start sending me messages from where you can get a genuine tool or a HQ clone because i will ignore this messages.

If you have locked interface then first need change 93C46 with new one, then reprogram ATMega and FTDI.

Eeprom is useless it is empty so of no use for version 15.7.x . Who wants to brick a tool fell free to try it

To make it works you need VCDS 15.7.0 modified for that serial.
Ask him to share the modified version for that serial.
But just for your info. The 12.12. dump and 15.7 dump are identically.
And the VCDS 14.10 and 15.7 using same kind of dump with diffrent serials
But the dumps are made in same way
As I know 14.10 and 15.7 dump wasn't shared yet
