RE: OPEL Official update ECU
Is this a new model, based on PSA platform (Peugeot most probably)?
If yes, then there is no way, as far as I know. Even dealers will have to purchase a token for reprogramming and may find out that software is already the latest.. So, you will pay for labor, for reprogramming, but nothing actually will be done. If it's a "GM" Opel, then check the latest calibrations at https://tis2web.service.opel.com/tis2web/ |

RE: OPEL Official update ECU
please give vin
There is no online calibration for your old car, only part number 98025829. Try to do an SPS ofline. AcDelco EXX <> BCM immodata synchro.

The car is opel astra H year 2008, I connected to the opel link you sent me, but there are no numbers regarding the software, so I don't know if my ECU already has this software or not. |

RE: OPEL Official update ECU
What software you've used to read the data of your current HW and SW?
Official manufacturers software works with numerical "calibrations" for ECU software. This is exactly what you saw at the link I gave you. I don't think you need to go to dealers with such old vehicle. Better ask you local car community - someone might have a "Opel GlobalTIS v32" with an offline SPS (software update). It will end up MUCH cheaper than going to a dealer (might cost you a pack of beers, but depends on technicians greediness). Because at dealership, it will cost you 60 eur to only connect to Opel servers which check and provide software update files, also add labor cost too. P.S. if you do end up at the dealership - ask them to update ALL the modules. Because you will be paying that 60 eur reprog fee no matter how many modules you update during the single session. |
