    Hi, I wonder which model is my opcom Chinese clone. And if I can raise / lower fireware. Now I am runing v1.45. I have opened and I see the chip model is good one, but the chip is PIC18P458 not PIC18F458, is there any diference and there is no elements on the oposite site of the PCB.

Any other MCU that PIC18F458 I suppose that will not good for use it with original firmware.
Check the datasheets of both MCU
Maybe they are bith echivalent
So take care
But it can be a wrong edith ( write ) on MCU by Chinese peaples

Pic18P458 don't exists at microchip web site. Maybe cloners read that people search for opcom with pic inside so print microchip pic in chip

Vaux-com 120309a its using fw1.45
The vaux-com 120308a + 131223d database is a fake
No matter if you upgrade the fw to 1.60 still a fake it is.
It will not works well
I think its not dangeros at least you do not upgrade/downgrade the firmware
In my opinion the MCU Pic18F458 its a wrong print on it be ause as I see the hardware its look identically as the one with real Pic18F458
But as I never used this kibd of hardware I cannot tell you for sure if you can upgrade/downgrade the firmware w/o risk

I also can confirm that mixed version vaux-com 120309a + 131223d not works brilliant... Maybe better solution is use only 120309a version (till 2012 year).

Hi mate
Don't waist your time with this.
The database from 131223d its not match with the 120309a software license
So that (-) in the measuring live data aparameters its caused by what i told you above not about the firmware.
As an example for you. The data base from opcom 150406 b/c/d is working with opcom 131223c like a charm
The database from 150406b Ro version is not working with the 131223e Ro

Since Mattydr67 was so kind to confirm that mix from 131223c with database from 150406b is ok , here is an installer made for HQ Clone just like that to test.
It includes also firmware from 1.33 to 1.60 and ocflash simple+ the one for ftdi.

P.S. Maybe user tjdg will be so kind to share with us firmware 1.64 like this will be all in a pack.

I've installed this version and tested but when double click on icon nothing happens, the program won't open.. I can see in task manager that it open and close in a few seconds. Try it on xp, 7 32 and 64 bits and the same on all computers, none has an antivirus, run as admin.. The other versions at the beginning of this thread works fine.. anyone know what could be the problem?
