In the beginning stages, parts collection, planning for a parking assistant plus (360* Surround View) retrofit on my 2019 X7 xDrive40i. My car currently has 5AU Driving Assistance Professional, so I already have the PDC sensors.

Have I interpreted the wiring changes correctly? Am I missing anything? I don't believe any changes/new wires are needed for the GWS, isn't that all handled over the LIN bus (need the new panel though)?

SAS Module:
1. Remove the loop wires for, without omnidirectional camera (pins 10, 16, 17 and 23).
2. Add the four wires that go to the TRSVC and PMA (pins 14, 15, 16 and 17).

BDC Module:
1. Remove the wire, with rear parking camera (pin 3)
2. Reroute the wires, with rear parking camera (pins 1 and 2) to the TRSVC
3. Reroute the ethernet wire (pin 54) from the rear parking camera to the TRSVC

TRSVC Module:
1. Wires from SAS and BDC Module:
2. Wires from the 4 cameras

Does anyone know if the ethernet cables are twisted pairs like the CAN bus wires?  The diagrams don't show them with the circles around them.

Also, is VO coding enough to get everything working or will I also need to make FDL coding changes as well?

Doing more research, it looks like the most expensive portion of this retrofit are the mirrors. Finding used mirrors might be a challenge but after looking at RealOEM, the only difference looks like the lower cover where the camera mounts. I think it would be way cheaper to buy the parts instead of trying to source two mirrors. I found all of those hard parts:


51-16-8-496-622 Mount (For camera) - $30.42 - This is supposed to be a pair.
51-16-7-468-253 Lower Cover $43.62
51-16-7-468-254 Lower Cover $43.62

The real difficulty is the wiring from the camera. I found pictures of the harness with part numbers, but I've come up empty trying to find them. I've attached the pictures, does anyone happen to know where to obtain these parts? The crimp connectors were easy to find, they are Nano MQS pins, you can get those from any electronics supplier, TE Connectivity makes them:
