F30 adding lumbar support to electric seats
Hi everyone,
A friend of mine is willing to swap his seats with mine ones. I have the facelift ones, electric and memory without lumbar but he has the same as mine + lumbar. Ofc, they are pre-facelift, so without the chrome controls. 2 questions, do I need extra wires for lumbar to work? And also if the facelift controls are compatible with the pre-facelift seats? Thanks |

RE: F30 adding lumbar support to electric seats
Yes you need extra wires (+) 1 pin for lumbar support, and by the way seat control unit is different. Pre facelift ECU work on CAN, facelift work on CAN2. And as I know button are similar
Don't forget press and , if my post helped you.

I might have to look better and check the differences between facelift and pre-facelift wiring diagram. Thank you |

The only issue is the driver side and seat controls are inverted. When i want the seat to go down is going up Any ideas? Thanks |

RE: F30 adding lumbar support to electric seats
Everything is sorted.
CAFD was missing, doh. Did the seat standardisation and now everything as as is should. No extra wires needed, lumbar has power and everything Thanks |
