Hi everyone,

Basically I want to retrofit IHKA3 on my 2012 car. Removed the old one and in with the new one 6820235.
Because it got late last evening, I didn`t do the wirings/codings, so today the IHKA control panel, radio controls, climate controls wasn`t working, as expected.
Got at work without climate control at all, reversed the car and reverse camera is black. Is this because of the new IHKA? 
Is reverse camera connected to IHKA in any way?
I simply don`t want to do the wirings and find out the camera will not work with the IHKA3.

There is no direct connection between reverse camera and IHKA, however it is possible that the new IHKA module is killing signals on the LINBUS which the camera needs. You need to correct all the wiring to accommodate the new IHKA in the first instance.
Just to prove a point plug in the original IHKA and see if the camera works.

I think will try first the wiring this afternoon Wiring is easier for me than taking the glovebox off again and plug the old IHKA.

Only need 2 wires for new IHKA3, from KCAN to KCAN2 in FEM and it should be good. Will kick in ISTA as well and see what`s going on in the car's mind.

IHKA -> KCAN_L Pin 23 to Pin 33 FEM A173*7B

Will try later today to tap the wires 33 and 34 from A173*7B to 10 and 11 in A173*10B.
Thinking of just disconnecting the pins from old IHKA and do a bridge to the KCAN2 wires. Wrap them up and make a jumper wire that goes from cable to cable just in case I need to revert them back

All sorted after wiring the IHKA3 to KCAN2.
Deleted the IHKA ecu from SVT, injected new CAFD and Code it.
Reverse camera also working now.
