Hi

I have succesfully installed on 1 computer using an clone Icom. Everything works fine.

Tried to install it on a second computer, same setup. But every time I have chosen the icom and it is looking for identification number I get an ediabas error....and a red ediabas icon in the buttom right corner of the screen. I think it said something like ediabas - polly. It's like something is blocking it. But firewall is disabled.

Any ideas?

I do not understand what happens.

Follow this procedure. If it still doesn't work after that then I don't know what the problem is.

1. Put the large "apps" folder in the root directory of disk D:

D:\apps

2. Copy the file "WindowCleaner.exe" to C:\Windows\System32\

3. Copy the "ISIS" folder to C:\ProgramData\

Note: ProgramData folder may be hidden. If so go to folder options in control panel to unhide.

4. Copy the "WorkUser" folder to C:\Users\

5. Copy the files START-ISTA.exe and STOP-ISTA.exe to your desktop

6. Rename your Network Card to "Eth0"

7. Write down your PC network card mac address and in file:

D:\apps\WSM\apps\agent\data\DeviceInventory-ISTA_P_53_5_000.xml

change the mac address to match your own



8. Run "Setup.exe" as administrator (also disable your firewall/temporarily disable anti virus)

9. Restart your computer

Notes:

Register your ICOM if needed (ICOM A1 clone is already set up).

Start ISTA using icon on desktop.

Then I followed your advice about the D:\ partition and now I can see my ICOM !
On this partition after to start ISTA-P, the following folders appears :

D:\logs\
D:\download\
D:\pdfoutput\

About the STOP-ISTA.exe icon , I had to use that of the "ISTA-P install disk D" because it removes the specific folder on D:\ while "ISTA-P install disk C" removes the folder in C:\ !

One other point, if I try to start "Create new session" again (the first session was ok, ICOM green), I received an error like this

Error is because previous session didn't close properly. If you change icom or network connection whilst ista/p is running you'll get an error when you try and start another session. A reboot of the computer will solve the issue. Also when you've finished with ista make sure you run the STOP-ISTA.exe because that will close down all the relevant services (may take a minute to stop the services).

Also if installed on c: you need to use the STOP - ISTA.exe from ISTA-P install disk © because it stops the services. If you use the other ones the services will not stop. Note: there seems to be a glitch somewhere so some folders don't get deleted but it shouldn't cause any problem.
