Bmw Transmission Operating Temperature Help
What is the operating temperature for BMW E60 Gs19 Automatic Transmission......I have been tracking live data on my newly replaced transmission and noticed that the temperature averages about 180...190'F degrees. The BMW is Running a special ATF-1 Tranny Fluid? Any one know where to locate the specs? Or can confirm that this is the temperature range. Thank you

RE: Bmw Transmission Operating Temperature Help
Answer: I didn't think of it but the temperature specs are based on the fluid type specs...like AtF 1 Average runs around 200f to 220f degrees. read the ratings and compare it to transmission output with inpa. Hope this helps for someone that runs across the same problem.

RE: Bmw Transmission Operating Temperature Help
The transmission fluid is cooled by the engine coolant system thru the heat exchanger,so probably temps up to 230-240F would be normal.
