I already faced this issue with a patched version of Ediabas

Please try a fresh installation
1. Rename your actual C:\EDIABAS as C:\EDIABAS_BACKUP

2. Download and install EDIABAS from link in post #1 http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.ph...4#pid72494
if the installer asks for repair of existing Ediabas, uninstall it instead and restart the installer

3. Download Ecu folder from link in post #1 and unzip it in C:\EDIABAS\Ecu

4. If you are using K+DCAN interface, make sure C:\EDIABAS\Bin\Obd.ini is configured with the right COM port

5. Install Dr.Gini B020

It works well on my E90 but it can't read anything on my 2005 E53 (I tried ICOM and OBD/USB cable. Same results.
I'd like to read the EEprom of my E53 KMBI.

I'v tried out your new B020 today for the first time. Super-awesome smooth and no issues with running diagnostics and using gauges etc.
I really look forward to the new headunit method your inplemention, i wouldn't hessitate a second to donate to your project again when I get my paycheck.

New function in B020: Modify and Save Gauges

1. The default gauges are first modified using the "Gauges Configurator" and saved for future reload
or
2. The default gauges are first saved. The saved configuration file is manually edited for future reload
