Hi all. New to this and don't want to brick my mmi.


Audi A8 2008

My mmi is 3G plus

My software version is

HNAV_EU_k0031_3_D1

Nav. database version is

8R0060884_ECE 5.5.5

Can someone please point me in the right direction as to which parts of the maps, sofware updates etc I need.

Your system isn't 3G Plus, your system is 3G High, you can download the firmware for your MMI from link in first post.

It's recommended to update it version by version. When you update it to the latest version (HNav_EU_K0257_6_D1) you can proceed to update the map.

You have instructions in the first post too, if you have any (specific) question you can ask it here.

Hi guys,

I've installed the map updates and everything went ok. But after I ran the patch and the MMI restarted, it never came back, the screen doesn't pop-out anymore.

I tried to reset it using the 3 buttons combination, I tried to switch it on/off, I tried to lock/unlock, start the car and drive it for a while but nothing seems to work, the screen is not going up at all.

When I reset the MMI using the 3 buttons a sound can be heard, but nothing happens afterwards.

I've also take a look at it with VAG-COM and it doesn't connect on: multimedia, radio, navigation, sound system, ...

Does anyone know how to reset the system so that the screen will go up again?

What patch have you used? what is your MMI? what firmware? did you wait to "patch script's end screen"?
