I have Audi A6 C7 2012 with mmi version P0518. Do I have to update every version before the newest K0783 or can I proceed to the newest version directly?

Will this update alter my bluetooth, wi-fi, sim-card or audi connect in any way? Or what differences does this update have to the older versions ?

I would suggest you go to 770 as 783 was not officially released by Audi. You can jump, but it is 'safer' to go step by step.

If you have BOSE, you will trigger component protection, which will require a trip to an Audi dealer to resolve.

The main difference is that 770 allows the in-dash SIM to be used just for data and the Bluetooth connection for calls. One of the earlier updates also improved the BOSE sound.

U dont neet to visit audi , VCP can do the job but better is go via user defined and disable bose update. what i remeber when u go from 518 to 770 there is no update for bose

Hi,
I have attempted a maps update 6.20.4 on a MMI3GP unit with FW 0767.
The unit restart and end the update process after the "documentation cancel or abort information" message.
I've tried to delete the navigation partition and retry to update but with no success.
On software-update screen AUDI_MMI3G_ECE is marked with a "?" instead of "OK"
I've no more maps now....
any idea ?

Activate Green Menu (if you haven't already done so)
Choose swdl
Activate user defined mode
Don't reboot, just exit with any button (i usually use radio) and proceed with firmware-upgrade as normal.
Now you can choose what you want to update.

I had the same problem with my MMI3G high with EU_K257_5_D1 Fw inside (successfully upgraded).
I force the map 6.20.4 download in this way and MMI downloaded the map from SD card successfully (all files selected from AUDI_MMI3G_ECE).
But after activation (imported FSC 400009) when I press NAV button it tell me "The navigation data is not compatible."
Can someone give me a little help, please ?
I have to select specific files ?

How do I backup my fsc? It says in the instructions "Backup your old FSC!" and a link, but the link won't work...

Car software version is RMC_EU_P11096. Can I use 8R0060884CH maps and activators? Do I need to update the firmware first? Please help.
