PPeugeot  307 BSI G0x-00 help to virginise please!
Hello Car Technology,

I have a Peugeot 307 1.4 HDi and recently got my 4 digit code for BSI but car is still having minor problems.

I now have "second BSI" from 2002 from a petrol car from scrapyard and have read HC912 from eeprom using UPA-USB to read and very good and easy to use! worked out code and vin to be:

VIN VF33CRHSB82622919
Pin 8326 (hope i have done this right!)

1). Could I read my current BSI (problem one) and write it to 2nd BSI or would someone please help me to "virginise 2nd BSI" to work with my 1.4 HDI.

2). Also how can i work out mileage from bin/dump or cant this be done?

3). Will the same BSI work from a petrol car, after clearing and work in a diesel?

I have tried the file (not tested) and did the following:-first disconnected battery, then "old" bsi, reconnected battery, ignition on but NOT started, to reset mileage on sagem dash clocks.

However when i put the file above and write it with UPA USB to eeprom, (disconnect battery, reconnect BSI and battery) and start to programme bsi mileage goes to 141,350 miles or something like that rather than my 98,135 miles.

I also found that I could not programme the high frequency (HF) keyfob for locking/unlocking car as no option existed for this on the bsi (??????) only the option to learn/code the immobiliser keythinking

Car started after learning 1 key, but I cant find any way around the higher mileage or getting the high frequncy central locking to work via the keyfob yet, could i copy my "old bsi eeprom" straight to the "replacement bsi eeprom", or is this a software flash not eeprom problem?

PPeugeot  RE: 307 BSI G0x-00 help to virginise please!
Please can someone help me, I have tried to run the code above with no joy and the mileage registers at 141,XXX miles, so wiped the clocks mileage and tried again.

To virginise my Valeo BSI HC912 (2nd one from scrappies) for my car do I just highlight all "eeprom" bits and fill with FF and hit program on upa?

Will this make my eeprom virginised/brand new?

or am i supposed to select all memory rather than eeprom

Thank you in advance

RE: 307 BSI G0x-00 help to virginise please!
To programme RF you put key in ignition. Turn ignition on and hold lock button on fob for around 10 seconds. Turn off ignition then key should work ok.

Your mileage has changed because your second hand BSI contained higher miles and so the dash clocks set to this also. The BSI and the Speedo contains mileage and so now you have to correct mileage in both BSI and in dash clocks to correct this issue.

To clone your BSI must have same firmware and exactly the same numbers on it. SO read old BSI and SAVE DUMP FIRST ! Then erase second hand BSI and write file from old BSI to new one and all should be ok.
