On another forum, i read about a tranny software update for all 335d E9x models. The update should have been available since Dec. 2012, but i can't find it in any of the SPDaten sets i downloaded. I've downloaded 50.2 and 53.0 but in both the newest software for the GKE195 unit is from 2009.

May someone help?

How did you figure out that yours is gke195?

i want to check for mine also for an update - mine is GA6HP19Z

Just read the UIF and search for the first 6 digits  in the "data" folder.

6HP19 should bei GKE211 or GKE215

Figured it out. There are a lot of revisions since 2009, but BMW never changed the date inside the file since then. ZB 7606273 (US 335d) was the right one to go for me. Big improvement over the the 325d/330d versions.

Did istap detect that there were update for transmission?

Maybe, but Ista/P won't let you flash 335d sw on 325d. I just used WinkFP in Comfort Mode.
