Thanks for the link. It certainly simplifies the installation.

However, sometimes when I try to load an fsc to edit or sign, Fstool closes. If I do manage to load one the program always closes when I try to save it.

Any clues?

There must be some problem with your FSTOOL installation. Ive never come across such instance.You should perhaps do a fresh install of FSTOOL. Also make sure your JAVA Version is 1.5. Anything higher then that would not work.

Perhaps you can use GET FSC in SWT DEVELOP and copy paste the desired FSC in Notepad++ and save it as 17,19,1B,9C,6F etc. I haven't tried it yet but I think it's possible..

I was thinking about that yesterday when I was playing around with it. So maybe I would just save it as .fsc file? What about certificates? I am a little confused about which one of these jobs I would need to run, if only GET FSC or also GET FSC CERT. What do you think?

I ask because when I reactivated my voice control through ISTA/P I used two files. I had to import the XML file and it checked that it had the certificate as well.

Root Certificate you need not worry because it can be restored to default after flashing the CIC. I have no idea about the GET SIG ID..

Im sorry i don't understand what you meant!!! You want to get 1B without ICOM to generate FSC MAP CODE?? Yes you can.. With K+D-CAN cable in FSTOOL, parameters put in 1B , go to SWT DEVELOP and move GET FSC to the other column. It will read the 1B from CIC. Copy paste it in NOTEPAD++ and save it as .FSC extension.. I Think it should work. Personally i haven't tried it but try it and report back...

I'm trying to update the map of my CIC proff retrofitted and activated with script, I downloaded the map into a usb key, but I need to enable fsc to enter the code.
Now i have install sucessfully the FSTOOL but when i klik Connect have an error, and is not connected.. Maybe this tool not working without icom interface?
