I have been doing since posting, I'm going to try the DMB option as well later to see if that does anything as it's working fine for Twointje, I guess if that doesn't help he has an antenna issue.

I have no idea. We don't have DAB services in my country.

DMB seems to be a better version of DAB+
I'll let you know if it is the magic bullet later today as he is coming back around 4pm

Don't know about "better". Doubt that. Better in some ways, worse in other. In essence it's just different. But it MUST be transmitted as DMB. You can't just magically receive DMB if DAB(+) is transmitted.

In reality it's not difficult for receiver to figure out which standard is being transmitted (DAB, DAB+ or DMB) and receive accordingly. So I really don't know what exactly that setting does. And I have no way to try as no DAB/DMB here.

As other users pointed out on this forum you need separate antenna line to HU for DAB. Have you checked it's there?

And now i was confused if i should not code this to DAB+

Yes, I just wanted to compare but I'm happy with the config I have at the mo, DMB made no difference apart from showing DAB/DMV on the DAB screen, I must have an antenna fault
