RE: 2013 F20 Heating control panel (basic) not functioning
Ok, I have been down to the breakers yard and tried different panels but no luck. Also, I can confirm the panel I already have is from earlier car.
Ecu production date .. 19.08.10 Any further suggestions? |

The car in question is bmw f20 2013 118d 5dr Auto, this car was purchased with screen , headunit, front control panel (controls media and heating) missing. I have bought replacement parts as per VO of the car, however I have another post on getting the Nav to function (it is greyed out). In this post I am seeking help on this heating control panel. The replacement heating control panel is IHKA (basic) but there seams to be no part number on it . I have been told that it is from 2014. When install, the fan starts with middle green led lit. I cannot control anything else on that panel. In ISTA it comes up with error code 8011CB-control panel on the heating-air conditioning system. Under voltage or Overvoltage error. The ecu information from ISTA is as follows Date of production 10.08.10 Hope this helps |

RE: 2013 F20 Heating control panel (basic) not functioning
You can look part number of IHKA in ISTA by clicking on it and going into ECU functions. Alternatively tell it's HWEL. And give car VIN or FULL option list. IHKAs are VERY option dependent.

RE: 2013 F20 Heating control panel (basic) not functioning
This IHKA is exactly for you car. So whatever problem you have is not due to wrong IHKA. So it's most probably wrong front panel. Is that a basic panel which is installed (no display, just knobs)?
If so, it's probably too new. You need the one from car up to 2014-02. Hard to believe you couldn't find that in a scrapyard. |

My local scrap yard didn't want to search further I think. I shall report back. Thanks for your help |
