X1 F48 MD1CS0001 Auric DME Swap
hi guys,
we have an x1 f48 here with faulty md1cs0001 (not reachable on can, not visible in esys). On bench read with autotuner, flex and hextag is possible for these ecu. We buy an second ecu with same partnumber and try to clone (write p- and d-flash from donor ecu to it). After that we check if ISN is the right one with autohex. BDC and DME ISN is matching, but car wont start. Fault memory tell us that there is no authentic answer from dme (ews error). An way will be to read original ISN from the used dme, write it to BDC but then the next unsolvable problem come -> aisin egs isn cant be resetet. So what is the solution for dme swapping md1cs0001 tc298 for now? Only buy a brand new one? If my post helped you hit the thanks and reputation button.

You have to read ISN from BDC and write it to DME by Tool32. Some guys on this forum can do it (I can’t).
