RE: Best ICOM A1 or A2
Personal preference I guess. A2 is more compact and has wifi capabilities and it's newer. However my a1 is running strong for almost 2 years now.

RE: Best ICOM A1 or A2
Hi,

I am also confused which to purchase A1 or A2. What is recommended for a small workshop mainly doing fault reading/clearing, steering angle, live data etc.

RE: Best ICOM A1 or A2
Buy A1 first since it's cheaper then down the road upgrade to A2
I have A1 for 3+ years and it's still running......
I have A2 and i changed already 2 of those .... Poor design
Make sure you use proper external power source ..... (NO VOLTAGE JUMPS)
Also if you go A1 route make sure to buy OBDII extension cable, so that you won't brake OBDII Connector like many other people before you did

If any of my posts or current one helps then don't forget to press thanks and add a reputation thankyou

For diagnosis jobs you dont need the Icom m8.......shake
Just buy the Bmw K+dcan and the ENET interfaces, you can use them with the Bmw Rheingold and you will make your job perfect!!!!!!!wink2
