E87 cruise control only work on 5th gear
Hi guys.
I have here one E87 123d with retrofited cruise control, made by previous owner. Cruise control only works on 5th gear. On all others, cruise is deactivated. No error messages (dash only show setpoint speed when cruise is ON). On ista i see no significant error, on DDE only a warning about DPF (limited remaining distance). Also, another strange thing, the "efficient dynamic" gear indicator, only shows suggestion from 1st to 2nd and from 4th to 5th gear... Cruise is been coded again, same results. Any idea? thanks |

In DDE you have "5th gears" version of software. You need to flash DDE to version from 6th gear car.

Check ISTA ABL service functions, In my memories you will find an option to calibrate or teach-in zero gear sensor under the Drivetrain functions. Maybe solve your problem, if not need to check zero gear sensor physically.
