The default serial number for VNCI 6154 is 7 digits, which can be changed once for free. You can change it to a randomly composed 7-digit ID

It supports all Volkswagen and Audi cars. If there is
VNCI 6154A upgrading firmware version to 1.1.0.1

I have been using VNCI 6154A for a while now. Never had any problems with it. Tested on multiple cars. Newest SW is 2.5 and FW 1.1.2.6, just updating atm.

I'll receive this device next week.

Question. As it works direct with the Odis drivers, I need to run the VNCI Device Manager before connecting to ODIS? Maybe to update firmware?

Latest firmware is 1.1.2.9. You can easly update with Device Manager.  There is support for PDU API 28.3 and latest Odis Service version
