One friend bought this car on last november as second hand. The car showed errors on the dashboard screen relatives to systems not equipped. I checked with ista and went to FEM because errors looks came from FEM. While was extracting the FEM i saw it had a piece of plastic casing cut and the PCB was visible. I checked the PCB and I saw that one of the 2 eeproms was resoldered and I thought, problem is the FEM for sure. My friend bought one and it arived 3 months later. He was to local specialist worshop BMW and there new FEM and all units were codec and updated. The mechanic told all was fine, except when the codification and update was made after about 5 minutes the engine not started . Mechanic told the problem was the key, because that key was coding for old FEM, and now is necessary buy a new key for the new FEM and all must run properly. 3 weeks ago , new key arrived but the problem continue, looks not ignition power on. If i mount old FEM with old key, car start and show errors i told at beginning, if i mount new fem with new key, not work.
If i mount old fem with old key and give ignition on and off and change fem in less about 4 minutes mounting new fem and new key, the car starts and ista not give any error but when i ignition off and wait abou 3 or 4 minutes , back the problem, enigne not start, nothing power on , looks as the system not recognize the new key. ista show all units connected fem in red colour. Someone could help me to fix the problem in the car? thanks

You need to clear Eeprom in ELV

ok now understand, i need virginize elv. now i will have to fins some could virginize the elv , thanks

I think you rewrite eeprom with virgin elv file. Never done it but i think I have that file somewhere. Will look for it and share.
