Hi Guys,

Iv recently purchased a BMW 745Le. It came with a touch command tablet in the rear, unfortunately the tablet does not connect to the car, iv added the cars wifi info into the tablet and it just says ‘connecting…’

I took the car to BMW and they have said the tablet belongs to another 745Le and not mine.

They want £3800 to replace the tablet.

I was wondering, is there anything i can do to wipe the tablet tablet and code it for my car?

Any guidance would be amazing.

Hard reset touch command to factory (program if need), clear touch command in car and try connect. Ista have a job there is a job for connect touch command to headunit

Thank you for the suggestion, i was reading about reprogramming the tablet using, TCSU, iv reprogrammed it, so far it is working ok, i will check again later. I wonder why BMW cannot do this? They said that ISTA will not programme the device.

If this hasnt worked, i will try your suggestion. Once again thank you for your help.

Just an update, looks like TCSU fixed the issue. I honestly dont know why BMW wanted to charge nearly £4k to replace the tablet. It took probably about 20 minutes to research, download and flash the device. It works every single time now.

If anyone is having issues with their Touch Command i would highly recommend coding it with TCSU.

Fair enough, but i still think they could offer to relink it, i mean £4k for a new tablet when all it really needs is a reset?

Nope. Not at all. Dealers are there to make BMW money. Not for ANY other reason. To do things cost effectively there is this forum. And us, independents
