Hello,
a stupid question.
Can I instead of following this procedure
• Copy all the content from each disk in one folder (one folder/each disk) ex: “Disk 1”, “Disk 2”, “Disk 3”
• Each folder (ex Disk 1), must contain one “config.nfm” file and one “pkgdb” folder.
• Copy all three folders to your 32 GB USB stick (or separately on each stick if you're using 3 sticks)
• Move the file/folder found in the “DISK 1” directory (config.nfm and pkgdb) on the root of the USB drive
• Insert the USB stick into the USB port in the Glovebox (the center console will NOT work) as seen in the of the gallery.
• Follow the onscreen prompts, it will prompt for the FSC code
• The update will begin to load
• If you're using one 32 GB stick, when it prompts for the second USB, remove the USB stick, reconnect to your computer and delete config.nfm and pkgdb from the root of the drive. Move the file/folder found in the "Disk 2" directory (config.nfm and pkgdb) on the root of the USB drive Reinsert USB into the glovebox and allow it to continue updating.

Copy all content from all 3 USB Sticks to the root folder and update it? Instead of removing the stick go to the computer, delete files and start again.
The config.nfm is always the same and the pkgdb will be merged later anyway on the HDD.

It's depends from map version that you have, coz there is two version - for 1 and 3 USB.

Doesn`t work it takes just the first USB and then you need to insert USB Stick 2.
If you remove the stick and install it again is also not working.
So have to copy the next 2 USB again to the stick.

It works on 32GB or 64GB Stick. You must format the Stick in FAT32!

Yes it works, but it was kind of strange behavior.
It was always asking for USB 2 and 3. Then I had to push the quit button and I thought ok let’s start from the beginning. Then I check the status from the loaded NAV Version and it was empty. I did a reset from the CIC, same result. After half hour it showed the correct updated version, why????

I use 32gb pen (fat32 formated) to west premium2015-2 with the 3 folders.
first i cut all in folder 1 as paste to the root. after updated, i cut and past the same files to the original folder (same process to folder 2 and 3).
when the idrive ask if you want to restart the module, you acept and remove the pen from the glove box.
after that you will need 5 m to your module successful update.
if you have a Motion map you will need to update your car in motion.[/b]

Again, there is two version of map: one for 3 USB(DVD) - this and only this version can be downloaded via HDD-Update and second version, that BMW sell to the end customer on one 32GB flash drive. The 3 USB version doesn't mean that this is beta version.
