Interactive manual in CIC - lost after language coding
Hi.
Some time ago I was coding my F30 and changed languages in CIC/KOMBI. I wanted polish language so I changed MASTER LANGUAGE => UK (the car is imported from US) added LANGUAGE_4 => polish. After this coding I lost interactive manual in CIC (the manual page is empty in CIC). 1. is there a way to add polish interactive manual in CIC ? 2. eventually how to activate English manual in CIC dispite that language is set to polish ? 3. also how to activate English voice control ? |

RE: Interactive manual in CIC - lost after language coding
To get the interactive user manual in a certain language the CIC needs to have a firmware which contains this language. A CIC from an US F30 does not have Polish language.
You can try to flash the CIC with another language option, e.g. 8A1 (Polish language) instead of 853 (English)... |

Is replacing option 853 => 8A1 in VO and flashing CIC will work ?
Is E-sys will be suitable for CIC flashing ? (with actual PSDZDATA) |

This should work with E-Sys.
In addition it might be required to change the vehicle type code (4 letter/numbers) to an similar European one because I think option 8A1 will not work with an US model. |

Thanks. You mean this typenshlussen in E-sys, for my car default type is 3A57. I already tried to change this numer 3a57=>3A55. But I noticed some problems: 1. after I vo coded CIC to ECE I lost audio from radio. It looks like radio is muted. Maybe this has something to do with FSC for Sirius, when I change the type => 3A55 the radio is set to ECE so the FSC code may not work. 2. so to avoid muted radio I left CIC in US settings (vo code to default 3A57) and when I vo coded FEM_BODY to 3A55 (for european settings) I noticed a problem with A/C. The A/C compressor is not working enymore. It looks like CIC is not longer comatible with FEM and looks like they are speaking different languages. To repair this situation I was forced to vo code FEM_BODY back to US (type 3A57). And after this I have working compressor and A/C. This is crazy. |

RE: Interactive manual in CIC - lost after language coding
Both issues - no audio in radio and A/C - needs to be fixed by coding.

RE: Interactive manual in CIC - lost after language coding
English please.
You need to change in VO from 853 to 8A1 and the VIN of your car is build with WBAVB73.... for example, then you will find in your VO VB73 what you change to VB71. US models always have the 3 in the 7th position in VO or the 4th position when its in VO. This you change to the 1. VB73 -> VB71 XY93 -> XY91 And then you make an software update of your CIC, code it and its done. |
