Hi 
I want to remove Tprot from this ECU (ED17CP02 BMW) so i can safely read and write over obd but i dont seem to find info about this as for EDC17 VAG.
Hope someone can help with solution or info.

does not need to remove tprot, i did this ecu many times via obd with old clone kess 2.08 in 2010...i made same SW version with both kess 2.08 and 2.23 via obd

I guess i will give it a try by OBD then
Already have a boot dump backup in case it fails writing via obd

I strongly advice you not to do obd...not safe if u use clone . Here is safe and boot list

According to that table , my sw version (509476) its safe to flash via obd.
In your opinion is it still not safe to flash this ecu by obd with clone tools?

It has obd lock on this ecu but is in de-active position
