Question , how you read eeprom in circuit or desoldered ?

Try this bring new eeprom and write on it the new file from your friend and read and compare few times if all ok
put in ecu and ecu in car and turn ign on and test with forscan
if not solve , remove eeprom and reread to compare
if the file not good mean you need ecu as our collegue sixcode mention

I did that, even with bin file with only 2 keys programmed, forscan keeps saying that the car have 8 keys programmed.

I will replace the ecu, I'd like some advice on which ecu would be compatible, because the car is quite old and here, the same ecu model is being sold for 150-200€
But I see other ecu models, with the same 60 pin connector, EEC-V and from 1.6L engine, for only 20-30€

I was thinking on giving it a try, as there is notable difference in price

My ecu: 
2ANB   1M5F-12A650-BF   LP4-335

Te other I found:
BACA   1S5F-12A650-AB   LP4-322

There is chance of working? With Forscan pairing 2 working keys

I will give it a try, but the car started with other ecu, completely different part number, but same pinout. Forscan worked for pairing 2 keys
