2012 mini cooper s
hi sir,how are you?igot problem here 3months ago got problem in hpfp my car was misfiring ,and fault code was dme p2880 in my mini.and so decided purchaced second hand from ebay rebuild good condition,i replacement was good for 4 to 5months,
today here in new zealnd winter time ,i start the car during morning dme pops in p0087 fuelpressure rail too low,so.only first start.theres a time intermittent.no misfiring or any rough idle ,runs good wht could be of this issue?most commonly is hpfp thts always been leak or wear.kindly regards,nhey |

If you have a way to monitor or better yet log data from the vehicle, monitor/log the live data for high pressure fuel system pressure commanded and actual pressures. The high pressure fuel actual pressure should not deviate from commanded pressure by much at all. Within a few engine revolutions during cranking the high pressure fuel pump should be operating at full pressure. If your pump fails this scrutiny, do yourself a favor and do not buy an aftermarket pump. They are garbage. |

Hi @janande,thankmans.youre right garbage rebuild second hand..we solve the problem its hpfp inner components.failing ..i replaced a new oem.tht cars was awesome.shes back in road now..sorted.cheers have a great day.good man
