Hello!

I am owner of Octavia 2, 1Z, 2.0 tdi, BKD, 2005.
I had some troubles with old ECU - EDC16U1, Bosch 0 281 011 391 and had to replace it with "new" (used) EDC16U34, Bosch 0 281 013 187.
Everything is working fine, but man who did this swap did not register ECU on car, so when I do diagnostics via VCDS it states VIN as XXXXXXXX.
Also IMMO on ECU is disabled.
I don't have PIN of this new ECU, only have my old one which I got with car, and as I know there can be some adaptations made if you have PIN.
My question is next, how can I obtain PIN from this used ECU and turn IMMO on?
Can I make some readings and post here?
Which diagnostics do you recommend?
At the moment I can do readings with VCDS 12.12, MPPS and soon I will have VAG DASH K+CAN available, but if necessary, I will try to find some other tools.

P.S.
I have readings made for chip-tuning purposes, maybe it can help.

To get pin you need to read eeprom, by obd or directly, other way is make a full bdm of original and write on new ecu

You need a newer equipment for this purpose (FVDI) or .. .
I will help you if you read content Eeprom 95320 new and old ECU .

So, it is imposible to do it with VAG DASH K+CAN 5.14 or higher or you don't recommend it?
I am trying to find cheapest solution possible.
Because I already spent a lot of money for bad job...

Better to make full bdm
You can try to injecte from old to new but before save the file into 16u34 Nevers try

Hi!
I found out PIN from new (used) ECU, but now I have another issue.
Immo was disabled and I am able to enable it so I can adapt ECU to car.
After Immo is enabled, cluster says: "Immobilizer active".
Then I follow Ross-Tech procedure for ECU swap.
I connect with VCDS and go to Engine, Security Access, enter Pin (from this ECU) and it says it is ok.
Then I go to Adaptation, channel 50 (Immobilizer Vehicle Data Learning) and in first row is stated "PIN?"
In field of stored number is 32000.
I enter Pin (from instrument cluster) and press "Test".
Then "PIN?" goes to "Malfunction" and in new value shows 32000, not my Pin?!
If I go to channel 91 (Immobilizer Status), I receive 4 = Immobilizer matched (System OK) ??
But Instrument cluster shows Immo message and I can't start the car.

When Immo is enabled and I do the reading, my VIN is already written, but not all letters are in caps (TMMBE61z753516696). "Z" is small.
Is that the reason why I can't adapt it to car, because there is already my VIN entered in ECU?
