Hi all, I'm trying to sort cruise control for a friends ex UK police car, he's added the cruise stalk and I've added $544 and coded the car, but still nothing. I was at least expecting a fault with it not having the cruise LED ring around thew cluster.
I've also found conflicting info on using tool32 to change a byte of data to code off the led and how to do the changes, so I'm wondering if anyone on here has the old pdf as I can't find it anywhere.

I don't have the pdf but an old note:
Ncs expert in VO Expert profile, add $540 or $544. 540 is basic cruise, 544 has automatic downhill braking, click fa.write for new VO in CAS and FRM/NFRM, SG_Codeiren and KOMBI, CAS, DSC coding and SSL module. Or you can click "Process car" but you will lose any coding made before.
If I remember correctly, the latest versions didn't have the wiring installed, check that it is there.

As far i remember, for E60 kombi must be changed also for cruise control retrofit.

it has never been a happy ending retrofit , there were a big thread on bmwcoding forum ( down at the moment ) related to this subject ,only few people have managed to have CC activated without replacing hardware ( ZSL - Kombi - DSC..etc etc ).

I would get the part numbers from ZSL - Kombi - and DSC , then you compare them with ETK to see if they are compatible with CC or not.

It is not necessary to replace kombi with CC one.

There is address 3101'16 in kombi, which was trimmed from .Cxx files, so NCS doesn't read this memory area. Tool32 can do this job, but this is not easy task.
