[B58 E36]

Hello. I really hope someone can help me with the following two documents from the puma system. My car is still torn apart and it looks like the replacement engine that I thought would work may not actually work. If I can read these documents I might have a chance. I would be beyond grateful for any help.

In particular, for engine replacement, TIS says:

Measure 64122020 is also mentioned the same way in the cylinder head section for the Vanos valves, which absolutely are different.

Can anyone please help me with obtaining the text of PUMA measure 62634754 and 64122020? Thanks

It's interesting the docs only mentioned B3x and B4x engines. B58 isn't mentioned but is absolutely affected the exact same way. It's almost like it's a typo in the docs or it's meant to be considered the same or maybe it doesn't even apply. But they definitely changed the parts the same way.

It says just to use ISTA v4 and run the software conversion function. I've never done that but I'll look into it. I have flashed the entire car to a newer level and then back down to the original level with ISTA/P in the distant past. I have esys and have done individual modules and edited to the vo in the past as well.

Interesting it does mention vo coding.

"For successfully performed programming of the conversion, the following is written in the vehicle order
"KB3M“ for B36 and B38 or
"KB4M“ for B46 and B48."

B58 isn't mentioned. I imagine that would be kb5m but it's not mentioned. I guess to fully answer that I would have to get a read out of my current vo, and find someone with a newer b58 and get them to read out their vo somehow and compare. Great. I'll probably just check it before and after the conversion function and see if it changes anything.

There is NO such thing as KB5M. At least not in ISTA's latest diag database. So don't imagine things...
