Bmw 328i f30 1B2002 Ews protection against tampering: no start value programmed
I’ve got a BMW F30 328i here with the above error code & the car is just cranking after clearing running hours in the engine ecu using Autohex
The engine ecu from this car had been mounted to a F30 320i by someone who coded it to that vehicle but then placed back in the 328 & coded which after a test drive resulted in the above error & this is how I got the car it had fault 1F2108 dme incorrect data record variant monitoring The ecu was flashed and coded back to the 328i original car it belonged to The car would start but be under limp mode and not at full power due to this fault To sort the above error the running hours were cleared which got rid of 1F2108 error now has ended up with the error 1B2002 Ews protection against tampering: no start value programmed Which results in the engine cranking only I have checked the fem and dme vin both match and have also rewritten it into the dme but the result is the same error The engine ecu in question is a mevd729 2012 model car |

RE: Bmw 328i f30 1B2002 Ews protection against tampering: no start value programmed
If working hours were reset, the ISN may have been changed or there is a problem with the checksum in eeprom. share the ECU dump and provide the ISN in FEM or send the dump when it was 1F2108 (before reset working hours)

All solved
Rewrote the original eeprom bin which contained the original fault and cleared hours a second time & recoded |
