Can anyone tell me if it's possible to code a higher capacity rating battery to a BMW G20 2019 model.

My current battery is rated at 92Ah and I want to replace and code in A higher Ah battery if possible.

Reason for this is I have two dashcams connected with parking mode enabled and sometimes I get complaints about the battery level being a little bit too low. So my plan was to get a higher capacity battery to try and combat this. Also with the battery being about four years old now, I have been told it is time to change the battery.

I can see on ISTA plus there is an option to code the battery but have not explored it yet as I do not have a new battery to code yet And don't want to mess up the current charge levels.

If anyone can help, that would be great!

It should be possible. Just make sure the Amp Hour Ratings match. There isn’t anything magical about BMW brand batteries.

I had the same problem. You can code a higher ampere. I solved it as follows. I didn't touch the main battery. I installed a cellink battery from the cigarette lighter fuse box. It is fully charged within 30 minutes even when driving. operating time 2.5 days
