XZBMW  BMW 325I E93 N53 MANUAL ZB NR ZUSB
Hi everyone,

Need some help with finding the right ZB Number for this E93.

Unfortunately the original ECU was damaged to the point I can't even read any data out of it. I have a second hand 330I Auto ECU, found what I believe is a 325I ZB nr using BMW ECU Finder, however after flashing the car, it's coming up with EGS related fault codes. ECU Finder doesn't come up with any options regarding the transmission. Only options I see are: DIRU, KDD2 and KNIC. I have flashed every single ZUSB listed in the finder, however all come up with the same fault.

Does anyone know or have a ZUSB for the following car?

BMW 325I E93 N53 MANUAL EU/UK RIGHT HAND DRIVE with MSD80 ECU.

Thanks!

Thanks for your help. I have actually found another ECU off the same car and checked the ZB number on that. It turns out the 8619726 number I was using is actually correct.

So today I cleared all the adaptations and EGS faults seems to have gone, however there is still a coding fault present. As soon as I code the DME to factory using NCS Expert, EGS fault come back!

I can't get my head round it. CAS/FRM coding is stock and definitely coded for Manual.

The most correct thing! This is to entrust all the work to ISTA P.
It will correctly determine which ZB. you need.
and encodes correctly.

You only need to install the Correct DME.

If you have a DME unit from someone else's car and it does not match
power class with CAS. You need to reset the engine hours in DME.

Thanks! I have realised it's all down to Power Class in the ECU. I have ended up borrowing an ECU of another identical car, checked the ZB number, the ZB number I was flashing was actually correct biggrin .

So in the end I just cloned the "borrowed" ECU, read the ISN and changed the VIN etc etc.

Thanks for your help.

The zusb between auto and manual cars are the same. You need to clear learned variants with INPA (can be found under status - digital).
