What is best carsystem or bimmerretofit?

the volume spike issue was caused by not grounding the faceplate to one of the two bolts that hold the dash in. 

Could you please provide some more details. This issue is plaguing me nearly every day and it would be great if I could finally fix it. Pictures or the exact points to connect would be great.

Has anyone done cutting of the factory ccc plastic trim where the controller (ZBE) sits, to work with NBT/EVO ZBE? Any 3d prints or pictures?

Get a new trim piece from the lci models and you are 90% there. A bit of work with the dremel and sandpaper and the new controller fits right in. You do need to create some custom fixture since not all holes line up. 
Here is mine. It's not perfect as you can see in the bottom left corner but you don't notice it enough to spend another $150 on a piece of trim.

For the life of me i can't find the aluminium cube trim for the LCI, i haven't seen them anywere, i don't know if they are even a thing for the LCI?
