Hi

I have an E70 LCI with factory fit CIC Top Down and Reversing Cameras. They still work, but compared to modern cameras the peformance, especially at night, is poor. Are there any suitable cameras of a better quality I can "plug and play" into the existing CIC system? I would like to retain the same view angles and the reversing guide lines.

The performance might be down to the CIC more than the camera itself - I have the same car but the last owner fitted an aftermarket reverse cam - quality is ok during the day, at night not so much.

It may be possible to fit a cam from an F series as I think the TRSVC module is the same - the E70 and F15 are basically the same car underneath - maybe check the PN for an F15 reverse cam?

According to RealOEM it is used on the following cars, part number 66539240351, but as it is the same part number as mine I am assuming there was no improvement from 2010-2019!

I did many E7x CIC to NBT and EVO retrofit , the Resolution of the same Camera ( rear only or 360 ) is way better after the retrofit.

An NBT, EVO or Android headunit is one of those improvements I have been thinking about too. I am not sure which would be best. The car is a keeper, we have had it from new and just had an engine and suspension rebuild. For me the natural next step is improving the iDrive.
