When try to change some ISN by OBD a message appears that says something like: "If you dont know what you are doing, stop. The ISN can be lost and may not be retrieved". What exactly does it mean?

It is on some DME-s, in boot mode
it is not possible for MSD80, maybe others too

For CAN bus wires, can I use single core kynar wire? This is killing me, not being able to do this in bench.

What is the recommendation of wire for can bus and the length? There must be something wrong here as some users have problem with reading msv80 on bench.
