BMW F83 2014-07, FEM-GW ETHERNET CONNECTION DROP FAULT
I have the same problem too
This BMW was in a roller over accident and the Advance crash safety module (ACSM )deployed the driver door airbag and the driver side rear seat belt and the Roller Protection Bars up in the air. I release the two Bars and push them back down inside the roller bar cage with success to they click in place. Then i remove the old ACSM module and replace with new one bought from dealership, but before i did that the fem/gw re-animation fault was happening, it say it can't re-animate the ZGM and there is no communication with all down-line modules. The BMW M4 F83 released 2014-07 as a Convertible, but the FEM/GW is causing a dropping in Ethernet connection every now and then. Terminal kl15 is been turn off & on again on the ISTAP mask but not on the car. It try to reanimate the Gateway (ZGM). So some down-line modules on the BUS Network like the IHKA, DME, DSC, & REM does not respond and can't communicate with the Central Gateway module that is built inside the FEM module. This FEM is located at the passenger side right kick panel. All fuse test Ok fine. But every time the istap- see the kl15 while identifying modules it would disconnect at times the ethernet connection on the laptop and connect it again. Have anyone experience this issue before? ............................................................. This picture below shows kl15 & terminal 30 with voltage ........................................................................... The pic below now shows voltage for kl15 & terminal 30 not show ................................................................. can anyone chime in on what is wrong with the Ethernet connection keep dropping every now and then. Could the problem be in the FEM/GW module.? The FEM/GW is the front electronic module. The ZGM/GW is built within it as an independent control unit. So BMW-AG decide to call it FEM/GW. The BMW F83 started up fine and running Ok, revs clean. I just wanted to Program & Encode as a replacement followup the New ACSM module for this F83.
