Hi all, want to tune my Astra sri turbo 170bhp, bit about my sri-t it has a vxr engine fitted, ss exhaust and upgraded intake the original plan was to fit and program the vxr ecu and run it at 240bhp give or take, and start from there.

iv just bought a kess v2 unit so was going to remap it my self, i know the me7.6.1 and me7.6.2 have different map addresses, can i copy data from one map to the other ie torque limiter and other maps.
i have damos for the 7.6.2 but not 7.6.1 can only see a few maps in ecm.

Is this z20leh engine ? I thought these already ran above 200bhp.

have a look for a maps pack the bottom end maps are around 260 odd bhp I believe.

there used to be a tuner/user on ebay that sold maps for these engines might be a good place to start

there are maps that run 300+ bhp for these engines but standard internals are only good for a certain output.

as for actual read/write map transfer I have no idea

Hi yes mate it has leh fitted but running on lel management so should be just over 170 bhp with mods. I no it should be good for 260-270 bhp as it is now.
I read mine with kess and the vxr ecu so have both maps but there's only 10 in ecm so need a driver or damos or a2l file for these ecus both original and vxr ecu are me 7.6.2.

Right been doing some live data runs and calculating my engine ve and just playing with the data iv obtained, need to get my self a wide band but would like to no if I can replace the stock sensor with a wide band, and just run the sensor wire to the far.

Hello m8 I,m not 100% sure on this I know AEM make a wideband lamba kit.

but not sure if you can run on normal engine ecu or if it needs to be standalone ecu. it may work if your tuning your own maps on original ecu.

I take it you want wideband in regards to tuning fueling ?

Yer iv been looking at them think lsu 4.9 sensor has 2 outputs on it. 1v and 5v was wondering if you just hook up the sensor as normal and run the 5 volt to the afr, I'll have to get one regardless thanks for your input.

If you buy AEM you get sensor with it and gauge theres quite a few wires but that's your best bet as a 1 wire input gauge won,t work properly

OK mate il have to get one then was thinking of the fail safe aem wide band and boost.

Yes m8 ive seen that one dual readings on 1 gauge gd stuff

the car on the video link I sent is running aem fuelling gauge gives spot on read out where as 1 wire ones are not accurate enough they just flick between lean and rich

I have 1 wire dragongauge for fueling ratio but never bothered even trying to wire it up was gonna use it on Vectra v6

The I have in is a 4 wire and does that I can see the volts in mv but it will only go 980mv so can't tune it rich off that, standard map plus intake mods it most probley lean as, also has slight knock reading high rpm.
