The easy way to solve these old radios is to remove the code, especially when the remote control unit RM-X96 is lost.

This is done by just soldering the three links so they are all shorted, as shown in the picture below.

I you do have the remote control the remote key sequence is as follows:-

(where '0' represents an open circuit and '1' represents a short/closed circuit.)
