StarFinder V3 x64 - Solution for Windows 7/8/10 64bit - planet-fireball - 01-11-2015
Lot of things have changed on the Daimler Diagnostic Area the last few days.
There were new problems and new solutions about the new XDOS - Xentry Diagnostic System.
Till now there is no solution for the other famous daimler programs, so here is my
Solution for Starfinder V3 (on x64 Systems)
When you use Starfinder V3 under Windows 7/8/10 (x64) you'll encounter 2 problems:
1. There is no Whip! Viewer for x64 Systems
2. The browser test failed for IE > Version 10
In my "Release" of StarFinder V3 x64 these problems were switched off.
Note: There is a official workaround on daimler website for these problem,
but this solution is very uncomfortable to use.
Installation Instructions:
1. We must prevent the WHIP! application from installing, which prevents
program start when canceling. This can be done with the STAR_ServiceManual_x64.reg,
simply apply it to registry by double click.
Needed File in the attached link: STAR_ServiceManual_x64.zip
2. Further there must be a x64 compatible Viewer as replacement for the Whip! Viewer.
Autodesk Design Review will do that job, so install it.
Needed File in the attached link: SetupDesignReview2013.msi.zip
3. Finally we need the Starfinder V3 x64 Release
The Release consists of 14 rar parts, simply extract it to a folder of your choice.

Bonus: I have extracted the icon from the original .exe and attached it to the
archives, so you can make a Desktop Shortcut like the Original x86 Version.

Mate, this is a forum, not everyone is connected like to heart pacemaker. You have to wait a while sometimes. Another thing is holidays etc.....
