MGU Carplay/Android - is it wifi??? - Sauron - 10-11-2025
Hi guys, I have астїvатёd both through provisioning and both carplay and android are displayed in the menu. But when trying with phone there is no connection whatsoever.
Mgu is without navi with hwel_0000786F_001_003_001
Car has 654,6AE,6AF,6AK,6C1
Is is any restriction with this HU or lacking wifi port?

MGU hosts generally have WiFi interfaces. Try coding the MGU with 6CP.

ok but thats for carplay only....what about android?

And HOW do you think Android Auto works? Via some kind of holy spirit?
I'm pretty sure HWEL 786F does not have WiFi port because it was NEVER fitted onto cars with 6CP, 6WD, 6U3, etc.

ok, but with provisioning for CarPlay and Android Auto on HWEL 786F - it worked.

Maybe with usb cable ? you do not need wifi to let android auto work , i thought you where more clever.......

Thorsten in fact carplay and Android appeared in the menu but never worked.
So not sure if the apperance in the menu indicated that mgu supports the connectivity.
