RE: Clone GM MDI work with Ford IDS? - Nitro - 02-12-2015 Has anyone tried FORScan with a MDI? Looks like that will work. Also does anyone know how to download the latest IPC and GPSM files? RE: Clone GM MDI work with Ford IDS? - mattydr67 - 02-12-2015 Forscan as you can see it can works with a simple tool ELM327 or with a Passthru J2534 tool Gm Mdi it is a J2534 tool that's why is working Ids is diffren't Good luck RE: Clone GM MDI work with Ford IDS? - Nitro - 02-12-2015 I tried it with my Bluetooth ELM327, I added the MSCAN switch and it works great. It's good for reading but I don't trust writing the firmware. I got all my Strategy & Calibration version #s. Now I want to update. How do I find out the latest Strategy & Calibration version for the hardware I have? I know where to download the files from: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/wds/PCMReprogram/DSFM_PCMReprogram.asp?swproduct=IDS RE: Clone GM MDI work with Ford IDS? - mattydr67 - 02-12-2015 Well I suppose that you need an account/subscription But if you know what exacly calibration you need you can download it from motorcraft.com Good luck |
