What is the activation for? Do I need it?
I'm sorry for asking, but I'm really new in this.
Thank you for your help.

If you tried it with chinese fake Pomona Clips check this first they are realy bad quality rofl

Hello,
I would like to flash my carprog and I was looking on post 28, but am unable to open the link where to download j-tag software and the schematic to build it. can anyone help me how to build the JTAG for lpt port and the software please.

RE: CarProg All Questions/Answers Here! - darek_naprawa - 01-02-2018

Description of how to do it. Program, bin mcu 4.74.

RE: CarProg All Questions/Answers Here! - spanaz1 - 02-02-2018

I have done exactly that but am having error

RE: CarProg All Questions/Answers Here! - spanaz1 - 02-02-2018

I was able to identity it in the software now am facing another problem while checking it

What is the length of the lpt cable?
It must be approx. 30 cm.
Make it without resistors.

Either MCU not reset or your wiring incorrect smile

1 of the wiring diagrams floating about on here is incorrect for JTAG wiggler and 1 is correct. it should work with the resistors smile

Also check lpt port settings in bios as port needs to be set correctly or it won't work smile

I'm sure somewhere on this thread I posted a picture of custom lpt to lpt
Wiggler circuit board so you don't have all the wires everywhere I will try and find for you smile

My wires are measuring 37cm, am going to try cutting them short to 30cm, then I will try with resistors if it don't work I will try to remove them.
dl6222 can you please provide with the correct diagram and port settings? I will really appreciate. Thanks guys

Yes I'll find everything and add into this post shortly smile

Here we go i might be wrong but I'm sure 15-20 is max for cable length

connections .zip
File Type: .zip

Size: 1.62 MB

The other 2 pictures in zip are of my custom wiggler so you can just plug carprog to lpt port to port just solder connection wires tms TDI etc to the blank lpt port pins on back of carprog like this (see below ) it follows the normal connections of carprog to lpt with JTAG wiggler but in circuit board fashion so a lot easier smile

Then make a reset switch circuit for pin55 then you never even have to open carprog again when programming.
