Ok so 2006 Cadillac dts. Using digiprog with st01 and writing using tachosoft 23.1
Vehicle has 93c46 chip

Problem. When writing no matter what string used it writes mileage to 999999

Solution. When tacho gives you the string to write swap bytes around. If tacho says write 8bfe3c. Then the string is actually
Wrote as 3cfe8b. And it will write no problem no need to convert to km in figures just use tacho as miles and write younger to senior like I show above

Enjoy

Re: Cadillac - Clusters - 04-02-2016

Ah yes, but how do you calculate it with just a calculator? thinking That is the safest way, check the calculation against the old mileage, calculate the new, and never any problems. biggrin

Your string example of 8bfe3c is 7602627, check it in Tachosh*t. giggle

I just spit random numbers out of my head as an example of changing the bytes to avoid the confusion. And as far as calling it manually. Im still learning how to calculate manually
I get so damn frustrated when my numbers don't come out right or my checksum is off. Sometimes it's easier to use things people have invented to ease the pain on still learning patrons like myself
