Vw golf iv RB8 dash problem - elbiscuit - 24-02-2016

Hi mates,

i have a vw golf iv with rb8 dashboard with problem.
i think its a eprom 24c08 problem,fuel gaugeits crazy,when accelerate the background he lets out a warning,the speedometer dont work,whats your opinion about that?
Someone can tell me if eprom has problem?

I think that the EEPROM is good.
Mileage is 259000?

You checked all the connections soldered to the PCB?

Yes,i have check that,i put fluxe and soldered again.

very strange because my client says that it all started after having a short circuit in the ceiling lamp,It replaced a fuse,and after that dashboard be crazy.

*this is what the car owner says,i dont now its true*

Check the electrical harness or not melted wire insulation.
Take the test actuators dash, as it will be OK dashboard good
