For software update you need swe

No need any SWE in C:\data\
all flash files are in psdzdata\swe
everything is in psdzdata!

After i put in the mklink to Rheingold psdzdata location, can i delete all data from C:/Data that was used before or do i need to have them? Just wanting to save as much HDD space as possible.

Depends on where you keep CAF, FA, Logs, Rules, SVT, & Token.

I bet mklink won't let u do the link if C:/Data/psdzdata (or SWE) directory actually exist with another data. You NEED to delete these folders in C:/Data before linking.

Just succesfully FDL coded today using mklinks data from rheingolds psdzdata 4.13.31 - deleted all folders, as mklink wouldnt let me create the link. Works perfectly and saved over 100gb space on hdd.

Can this be done the same from e-sys to ISTA?
Is it possible to use psdzdata from esys with ISTA?
I have latest psdzdata for e-sys and I want ISTA to use the same.
Is it a matter to copy the folder from C:/Data/psdzdata(used by e-sys) to Rheingold/psdz/data_swi/psdzdata or is more complicated than that?
I want to flash my ECU's with ISTA, not e-sys

TIA
Alex

let ISTA use his own psdzdata version, avoiding unexpected behavior.

for esys best way is not creating symlinks , just put path to ista`s folder in esys settings Data : D:\bmw\Rheingold\PSdZ\data_swi (example)
