I am giving up on my search for a US map activator. There does not seem to be as much enthusiasm to hack the MMI in the States compared to Europe. So I thought I would head in another direction.
I am wondering if there is a way to mirror my phone screen onto the MMI screen or the digital display in the instrument cluster. Waze or google maps would be a better alternative compared to my out dated maps.

Strange difference between US and EU when I´m considering i.e. xda-developers but maybe in this case it´s in opposite way...
Don´t know what type/year of car(/MMI) you have, but afaik these features can be solved by external gateway as Dension, etc. and it is not just (/other thing than) VIM, video in motion can be activated with login from SN in adaptation...
