Hello to diagnose on monday 2008 Mondeo push button start only dash lights come on no crank after battery change and all windows wound down . I have not worked on button start before , dash displays steering module fault . Can some one explain how system operates . Appreciate advice

Fixed , read & clear codes with IDS & update PCM software as intermittent no communication
