E60 CIC retrofit - no sound and then gray screen after VO Coding - SuddenlyFast - 21-08-2016
Retrofitting CIC in a E60 produced early 2004.
At first everything worked but there was no sound.
I used the ExpertMode profile to Process ECU for the head unit.
No the CIC screen is gray and nothing works.
Does this sound like something that can be fixed?

I've read that the no sound issue is likely due to the fact that you need to update the AMP to the latest zb.
I would double check the VO. You changed the production date correct?

I didn't. The original prod date is 0404.
Now the iDrive screen is gray.
Any idea where I should go from there?

Make sure your vo is #0909 and 609 (and 6VA). Do not write it to car. Then code CiC and cid. Make sure you do not have both 0404 and also remove 606 if you have it
