Unlikely it will be useless. You should be able to create basic license to start latest ISTA/P.

The trick is knowing how to use it. It's one thing to actually create the license but knowing what you need to put into the license file is entirely another.
It will almost certainly (although I have not tried it) allow use of both ICOM and ICOM Next - if you know what you're doing.
